TecQuipment Wind Turbine Dynamics
The Wind Turbine Dynamics apparatus is a compact, versatile system for teaching how kinetic wind energy is converted into electrical power. Mounted in a wind tunnel with bell mouth and honeycomb for smooth airflow, the turbine can be observed through transparent panels and a sliding interlocked door. It features motorised blade pitching with digital read-back, reducing downtime during experiments. Students can design and 3D-print custom blades using the provided hub CAD file. A removable silencer reduces noise and can be stored beneath the apparatus. The control box includes dual screens, a VDAS® output for computer connection, and controls for door interlock, turbine operation, speed, and pitch adjustments.
