TecQuipment Universal Testing Machine

The Universal Testing Machine is a bench-mounted apparatus designed for safe tensile and compressive testing in teaching laboratories. Suitable for classroom demonstrations and small groups of students, it should be installed on a substantial desk or bench. A rigid steel frame carries a hydraulic ram that provides load through a moving platform, allowing compressive tests to be performed above and tensile tests below. The force applied is sensed and displayed digitally on the instrument panel with real-time display of the applied load and the resulting vertical movement, enabling students to calculate the stress and strain being developed during testing. A wide variety of materials, components, and structures may be tested using the machine, with accessories adding even more mechanical tests.
