TecQuipment Flow Visualisation Wind Tunnel – AF80
The Flow Visualisation Wind Tunnel is a vertical suction-type wind tunnel, designed specifically for demonstrations and student investigations into flow around different model shapes. With the help of a variable-speed fan mounted at the top, air is drawn upwards and flows at different speeds, creating controlled conditions for classroom or small group experimentation. Non-toxic visible smoke, produced from food-grade oil by a smoke generator, is shifted by a movable comb to illustrate the flow, including the boundary layer, flow separation, and rotational flow. The flow tunnel is designed so that the smoke is illuminated by lamps within the visible section of the tunnel. Thanks to the transparent front wall, models can be easily seen and attached. The unit is mobile on castors, floor standing, and includes a control unit to adjust fan speed.
