TecQuipment Creep Testing Machine
The Creep Testing Machine is a bench-mounting instructional apparatus that demonstrates material creep under controlled conditions. Specimens manufactured from lead and selected plastics are used that exhibit measurable creep at room temperature under relatively low loads. A simple lever system applies a constant tensile load to the specimen and extension over time is measured using a digital indicator. Loads are applied via calibrated weights so that students can directly observe time-dependent deformation. Temperature effects can be investigated by heating or cooling of the specimen within a clear enclosure. The machine allows for manual data recording and optional computer-based data capture, making it suitable for structured laboratory experiments in materials engineering.
