TecQuipment Centrifugal Fan Module

The Centrifugal Fan Module is a mobile, floor-standing teaching unit that focuses on helping learners understand the functionality and characteristics of a centrifugal fan. This module forms part of the Modular Fluid Power series, which is aligned with the Universal Dynamometer and aims to teach about fluid power machines. This module incorporates a centrifugal fan with in-built instruments that allow the measurement of airflow, pressure, speed, torque, and power. Air is sucked in through a specially designed inlet nozzle that measures flow, and is then trapped by a controllable slide valve, and is then released to the atmosphere. Performance comparison tests can be conducted with the use of interchangeable impellers, and safety interlocks that are built into the module ensure that the impellers are properly assembled before operation. This module is designed to support hands-on testing, demonstrations, and fan behavior and performance analysis.
