TecQuipment Beam Apparatus

The Beam Apparatus is a self-contained, benchtop teaching system designed to assist a wide range of experiments concerned with the bending of beams, deflection, and support reactions. Students can investigate beams under different loading and boundary conditions, such as simple, built-in, and sinking supports. Point loads can be applied and deflection and reaction forces measured directly for investigations into elastic behavior and the determination of Young's modulus. The configuration allows experiments on single and continuous beams using different materials and geometries.
