Quanser HD² High Definition Haptic Device

The HD² High Definition Haptic Device is a premium-level interface designed for advanced haptic work and robotics research. This device enables you to extend a virtual or teleoperated hand and touch and interact with distant environments via programmable force feedback, and it is ideal for applications such as virtual medical training simulators and teleoperators. Since the workspace is quite large and the unwanted dynamics are small, the HD² is a highly accurate and responsive-control haptic device, and the parallel mechanism is very back-drivable and close to frictionless, and the heavy-duty capstan drive and high-speed motors reduce the sense of inertia while at the same time increasing the stiffness of the moves.
