TecQuipment Subsonic Wind Tunnel – AF1600S
TecQuipment’s largest open-circuit wind tunnel, the Subsonic Wind Tunnel 600mm, is geared towards the study and the research of advanced aerodynamics. When operating, the wind tunnel has air enter through a honeycomb flow straightener and grille, then passes through an aerodynamically designed effuser, where the air gets increased to a desired speed and passes through the square working section. The airflow is controlled via an electronically adjustable axial fan. The working section has removable and hinged panels along the sides, roof, and floor—made of acrylic—and is designed to accommodate a variety of small-scale models. The wind tunnel can measure lift, drag, and pitching moment as well as flow parameters, thanks to its hardware, which includes Pitot tubes, pressure taps, data acquisition hardware, and multi-use adaptable instrumentation, designed to extend the wind tunnel's capability to measure flow.
