TecQuipment Permeability, Flow Nets and Darcy’s Law Apparatus

The Permeability, Flow Nets, and Darcy’s Law Apparatus is an independent, self-supporting unit of floor-standing design, developed to show the movement of water through permeable media and its interaction with walls and dams. The transparent tank is mounted on a steel-framed bench, allowing direct observation of flow patterns while measuring head distribution through piezometer tubes connected to rear pressure tappings. It allows model construction with supplied plates and visualization of flow lines through a dye system. Adjustable water levels at each end of the tank provide controlled testing conditions, making the unit suitable for studying permeability, flow nets, and Darcy’s Law within a practical laboratory context.
