Heat Transfer Experiments Base Unit TD1002
The Heat Transfer Experiment Base Unit serves as the central unit for investigation into various modes of heat transfer. It supplies cold water and electrical power, via controlled sources, to the experiment modules connected to it and allows for temperature readings and heater power via built-in digital displays. Tees with self-sealing quick connectors and color-coding ensure that fluid inlets and outlets are connected safely and without mistakes. A handwheel-operated valve allows adjustment of the water flow, and a safety switch is available to prevent overheating of the heaters. Experiments may be performed and results analyzed independently or, with the optional VDAS system, may be interfaced to a host computer for real-time data acquisition, monitoring, calculation, and charting-a fine capability for teaching in the classroom and/or hands-on learning by students.
