Vaccinate challenge
“QR Code Parking” challenge
Zumi starts at the “START” parking position on the map. On the day of the challenge, when you start, Zumi will be shown a QR code, which will be a random QR code of 1 of 4 buildings: “building”, “museum”, “school”, and “factory”.
Your objective is to read the QR code shown to Zumi, When it is detected, she must play the 3-second 'do-re-mi' sound. The clock starts as soon as the sound is played and then have Zumi autonomously drive to the correct parking spot and deliver the vaccine, park in the spot then leave the parking spot and continue the path towards the next challenge.
Points
- Parked at QR code location – 30 points
- Parked at wrong location – 10 points

Vaccinate challenge
“QR Code Parking” challenge

Zumi starts at the “START” parking position on the map. On the day of the challenge, when you start, Zumi will be shown a QR code, which will be a random QR code of 1 of 4 buildings: “building”, “museum”, “school”, and “factory”.

Travel restriction Challenge
“STOP sign + Driving” challenge
Zumi should drive up to the white line at the end of the funnel and stop. At this point, Zumi should see the Stop sign placed at the marker and she should continue to wait. She should only continue if the stop sign is removed.
Once the stop sign is removed, Zumi should continue on the path within white lines. Your objective here is to successfully drive through the road autonomously and continue on to the next challenge.
Points- Stop and wait at Stop sign – 30 points

Final Vaccine delivery
“Traffic Light + QR Code + Line
Following” challenge
Zumi should drive up to the white line at the end of the funnel and stop. The traffic light (red color card) will always be red first. Zumi should wait until the traffic light turns green (green color card). Once green is placed in front of her, she should drive from the regular road onto the line-following track. Then, Zumi should drive up to the third turn, until she faces the fountain in the park. The QR code for “left” or “right” will be placed at the marker on the map.
At this point, Zumi should determine which direction to go based on the QR code and continue to drive along the appropriate path. If the QR code says “Left”, then Zumi should turn left and continue along the line following path and reach the final parking spot marked “FINISH”.
If the QR code says “Right”, then Zumi should turn right and continue along the line following path instead.
You can earn 10 extra bonus points for doing a celebratory dance, which just needs to include some movement and some sound.

Rules
- Team size – 4 students (maximum)
- Age Group – 9-14yrs
- Students will attend a judging session to explain their program and work.
- Participants will only get points for challenges completed in the 2 minute 30 seconds.
- Your objective is to get as many points as possible, as quickly as you can
- Shorter runtimes will be ranked higher. For example, if two participants score equal points, the participant with the shorter runtime will be ranked higher.
- You must drive on the road and on the black line, you cannot use the grass or drive outside of the field to be considered.
- Participants cannot use drive mode or any keyboard input program at any point in the challenge and Zumi must completely run autonomously throughout the run.
- No modifications to Zumi (except for heatsinks or SD cards extensions)
- Participants can add lego pieces to their Zumi but if any pieces fall or touch the ground they will need to reset to the starting location and remove the lego piece from the field.
- No external sensors for Zumi.
- Participants must write their own code and be able to explain what they wrote if asked to do so.
- Users can use all of the Zumi sensors, gyroscope, accelerometer, infrared sensors, camera, etc.
- Users are allowed to reset their Zumi to the start location within their match. The timer will not be paused.
- If the Zumi deviates from the road (wheels go outside of black road) they will need to reset to the start location.
- Only the student and not the parent can contest the judge. Failing to do so will result in disqualification.
- Competitors are allowed to practice at the event on the practice field.
- Students are responsible for having their Zumi battery charged and camera properly connected. They must know how to properly charge Zumi.
- Students need to bring their laptops and laptop chargers in order to operate Zumi.
- No sabotaging of others Zumi while the competition is occurring via physical or digital means. Intentionally doing so will result in disqualification.
